I have a Barber and Lefever Muzzleloader conversion 10 gauge for sale. The gun has a a Barber and Lefever Frame serial numbered 232. The locks are not the imported Stanton locks used by the firm. The border engraving on the frame doesn’t exactly match the engraving on the locks. That is why I believe it is a muzzleloader conversion. The short stock also looks like a muzzleloader stock.

I bought this gun from Sell Antiques in March. I needed a forearm for a First Quality Barber and Lefever I acquired that was missing its’ original forend. I can send a link of the old Sell Antiques ad for this gun to anyone interested if they send me their email address. All of the pertinent dimensions and particulars for this gun are in the ad, along with numerous pictures. Please keep in mind that the forearm is no longer on this gun. I am selling the gun without the forend . The barrel wall thickness at the muzzle for the right barrel is beer can thin. I wouldn’t recommend shooting this gun, especially the right barrel. The right firing pin return spring is broke. Also, when I removed the locks, I noticed a couple of hairline cracks at the head of the stock. I believe this gun is a wall hanger or parts gun. The damascus barrels do have a beautiful “zig zag” pattern I don’t think I have seen before. This can be seen in the pics of the Sell Antiques ad. I am asking $275.00 for this gun. Price includes shipping via USPS. Anyone interested in this gun or with questions can email me at: jsmolka@edzone.net.

Joe, my computer says jsmolka@edzone.net. is not a proper address.  How about just editing your post and include the link, plus a correction of your contact info if it is not correct?  (I see I have a period after “net”, so that is likely my problem!)

Hi!  I received your emails and replied via email a few minutes ago. I apologize for my technical incompetence as far as uploading pics onto this forum. I bought the B&L from Sell Antiques via an ad in Gunsinternational. I emailed Guns International and asked them for a link to the ad so that I would have pics to send to anyone possibly interested in the Barber and Lefever. I think we have it worked out so that you will receive the link with the pics. The gun is being sold as pictured, except for the forend and the forend iron. Those are being attached to my B&L First Quality 10 gauge double. Except for the forend, which is no longer on the gun, the gun is as pictured in the pics from the Sell Antiques/Gunsinternational ad. Thanks for your interest.
